Halloween Tricks & Treats

It dawned on me this afternoon that one of my favorite holidays, Halloween, is just a few weeks away. So what are you doing to celebrate? Here are a few of my favorite Halloween inspired accessories, drinks, and of course healthy desserts. Oh and skulls…

For dessert that won’t steer you off track from your fitness goals, I love this pumpkin pie pudding recipe from Health.com.

This tasty dessert is super easy to make & healthy!

Ingredients:
2 Cups Fat Free Milk
3/4 Cup Dark Brown Sugar
1/4 Cup Cornstarch
2 Large Eggs
1 Cup Canned Pumpkin
1/4 Tsp Salt
1/4 Tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice

Whisk the milk, sugar, and cornstarch in a large saucepan and bring to a boil. Boil 3 minutes, whisking constantly. Beat eggs with a whisk in a large bowl. Gradually add half the hot milk mixture to the beaten eggs. Return milk-egg mixture to pan. Cook over medium heat 3 minutes, or until thick, whisking constantly. Remove from heat; stir in pumpkin, salt, and pumpkin-pie spice. Spoon evenly into 6 (6-ounce) custard cups. Let cool, and chill for about 30 minutes, or until pudding is set. *recipe comes from health.com

This next item I found at the local market today. It’s called Poizin Zinfandel and this bold red wine will definitely make a great addition to any adult Halloween party. $20

It even comes in it's very own casket!

My favorite accessory for Halloween (although I wear these fun scarves year round) is my Alexander McQueen silk skull scarf. $295

You can find this scarf in a variety of color combinations.

This next shirt is in style not just for Halloween! The skull trend from last fall has carried into 2011. You can buy this shirt at Charlotte Russe $20. Leather bracelet $97 Nordstrom (topleft) and spiked rhinestone bracelet $9.97 Forever 21.

Halloween inspired fashion goes year round!

I hope you have a wonderful Halloween!
